The full House Appropriations Committee finished markup on the FY 2010 Agriculture Appropriations Bill on Friday, June 19, and thanks to OTA's Annual Hill day, a new threshold for organic appropriations has been set.

A first of its kind agreement has been reached between the US and Canada to expand opportunities for organic trade between the two countries. The "equivalency agreement" follows a review by both nations of the other's organic certification program.
